Curriculum

Our curriculum uses a thematic approach to learning so that children are experiencing learning through hands-on, developmentally and age appropriate activities. Themes are based on the children’s interest and developmental level. 

Each week our theme changes and is broken into the following areas:  art, sensory/science, fine motor, large motor, dramatic play, language/writing, math, music, cooking, and large group. 

Children learn best when they can control and act upon their surroundings.  We provide sensory experiences for seeing, touching, tasting, learning, and self-expression.

• For children to believe in themselves as learners, readers, and writers.

• For children to grow in their understanding and faith in Jesus Christ.

• To provide many experiences that stimulate the children’s senses and curiosity; children learn by doing and play is their work!

• For children to learn to think, reason and become problem solvers.

• For children to grow to play with others.

• For children to focus on the process rather than the product.
