Thrivent Foundation Grants $7,750 for C2!
Christ Victorious received a $7,750 grant this month from the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation to fund the roll-out of the ministry's new Community Connections initative! "The Thrivent grant enables our Lutheran community to build caring relationships with the greater local, national and global community around us," says Vicar Tim Bayer, who serves as the initative's director. "Now we can bring in the best resources, experiences and training!" The $7.750 grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans' Lutheran Grant Program is one of many the Foundation provides for Lutheran ministries across the nation. The Thrivent Foundation supports innovative initatives that are consistent with its religious, charitable and educational purposes and the core values of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, especially those that contribute to the health and vitality of the Lutheran community. "We're incredibly thankful and blessed for the Foundation's amazing trust and support," says Bayer. "Thrivent's generosity will be key to the sucess of this initative," he says. "allowing us to be able to equip and empower our congregation to better move beyond the four walls of our church building into our community and world. It's all about connecting people with the nuts and bolts of mission of the church: to reach others for Jesus through caring relationships!"
